EVENT: Shlong Form Improv (Fringe 2011)

ShLong Form Improv

It's not the size of your form; it's how hard the audience laughs.

SeoulKorea’s most hilarious ex-pats perform a delightful mix of SHort and LONG form improv comedy! The audience randomly selects two short form games – favorites from ‘Whose Line is it Anyway?’ – such as New Choice, Foreign Film Dub, Asides, Sound Effects, and more! Each short form will inspire the characters, themes and storylines for the long form. The best of both worlds of improv! Featuring veteran improvisers, plus special guest performers from other shows at the Montreal Fringe Festival!

Founded in 2000 in Australia, Probationary Theatre Company aims to create interesting & accessible theatre. PTC’s production of Sexual Perversity in Chicago opened at the Melbourne Fringe Festival to rave reviews, receiving a best Newcomer award (2000). Since then, PTC has produced a variety of shows and toured to various parts of Australia, receiving several awards, before moving its base to SeoulSouth Korea. PTC soon joined forces with Seoul City Improv, Seoul’s premiere improv troupe.

Jessica Coyle, Kevin Brenneman, Mark X. Guinn & Margaret Whittum have been performing improv in SeoulSouth Korea for several years. They have toured throughout KoreaTaiwan, and have attended the following festivals, to rave reviews: Impro Tokyo Festival (Nov 2010), Hong Kong Improv Festival (March 2011), Beijing Improv Interactive Arts Festival (April 2011), Seoul International Improv Festival (May 2011).
