VENEZUELA & FRIENDS
They don't speak English. And they've brought friends.
The best jokes don't need words. At least not words that make any sense. VENEZUELA & FRIENDS is a mini variety show starring the joyful improv duo VENEZUELA, plus extraordinary and unpredictable guests. Every show is a different mixture of whiz, pop, nonsense and little kid faces.
Venezuela are Montreal's François Vincent and Sean Michaels, who perform improv using
sound-effects and gibberish - without all the usual blah blah blah. Stars of past Fringe hits,
METEOR, Argument with a Dolphin and Radio Days, they have been invited to festivals across North America, including New York's prestigious Del Close Improv Marathon and the Chicago Improv Festival.
The duo's friends include Toronto's madcap Sex T-Rex, improv musical Way The Hell Off Broadway, storyteller Asaf Gerchak, plus circus performers, absurdist lecturers, stand-up comics and visiting Fringe acts. Plus: former prime-ministers, wild animals, proper nouns. Brave kids welcome!
