EVENT: Elevated (Pushing Buttons) (Fringe 2011)



Alive From Below 1985 Productions presents “Elevated: Pushing Buttons” at the St. Ambroise Montreal FRINGE Festival 2011, May 30th-June 19th.
Montreal’s newest small independent theatre company, Alive From Below 1985 Productions puts on its inaugural play as part of the St. Ambroise Montreal Fringe Festival 2011, in Venue #7 – Portuguese Association of Canada building on 4170 St. Urbain (near Rachel) for 6 shows starting June 10th and the final show on June 19th.

“Elevated: Pushing Buttons” is a two-person romantic comedy about Dylan - an indecisive destiny job seeker and Linda - an aspiring dancer secretive about her past. Beginning a relationship at a time when their lives need to change. Starring Joseph Ste. Marie (Montreal Improv, Sunday Night Improv) and Danielle Doiron (Autobahn, Sunday Night Improv). FRINGE veteran, Nick Farah (Without Annette, Sunday Night Improv) serves as director. 

Written & produced by Park Extension native, Joseph Ste. Marie, this will mark his debut in the Montreal theatre scene. A graduate of Vanier College’s communications program in 2005, it was where first began acting. He performed in class productions (Jack, or The Submission, Love None), directed by teacher Roger Guetta. He began taking improv classes at Montreal Improv while studying photography at Dawson College in 2009 and now can be seen frequently performing at the Montreal Improv Theatre, and occasionally at Sunday Night Improv at Theatre Ste. Catherine. 

Danielle Doiron is originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia where she performed in numerous school and community theatre plays. After spending some time in Vancouver where she was seen in First Impressions Theatre's Blood Brothers, she moved to Montreal. Last spring, Danielle was seen in Freestanding Productions sold-out show, Autobahn by Neil Labute. Danielle can frequently be seen as an improviser at Theatre Ste. Catherine for Sunday Night Improv

Nick Farah is a multidisciplinary artist and producer.
