New York City alternative comedy crowd-favorite Elizabeth Blue brings her unique, hilarious voice to the St. Ambroise Montreal FRINGE Festival in the one-woman show Am I Blue. Veteran performer of NYC’s Peoples Improv Theater, home to Ellie Kemper (The Office), Kristen Schaal (Toy Story), and Matt Oberg (Comedy Central’s Sportsdome), Elizabeth Blue “is one of those performers you can't take your eyes off of. The honesty she brings to stage is refreshing, endearing and downright hysterical." (Peoples Improv Theater Artistic Director Jeff Lepine)
Am I Blue tells the hilarious story of what “finding yourself” actually looks like. Like all wise women and sages before her, Blue attempts to find herself through the help of gurus, one million-dollar ideas, and lots and lots of cute boys. When no epiphanies come, she sets out to create her own.

“I so loved, loved loved Am I Blue! I laughed, I cried, I sang in my heart.” —Rhonda Musak,HYPERLINK "http://www.artandsoulacting.com" artandsoulacting.com
“Hilarious... She plays with the audience wonderfully.” ImprovisationNews.com
“I laughed and laughed… I was laughing at myself, the way Blue is laughing at herself in her show… It was the heart laughing. This laughter was the joy of seeing someone be so authentic and not take themselves seriously at the same time. It was the recognition of the humor in all of it: the struggle, the doubts, the yearning, the curiosity, the insecurity.”—oliarights.com

  1. Am I Blue twists the insecurities we all have about being alone, finding the right one, and the pursuit of imperfection into a warped balloon animal that looks how we feel. ELizabeth is hilarious and instantly likeable as soon as she hits the stage. See this show!

  2. Liz Blue manages to play a character that is as funny as she is sympathetic, as heartbreaking as she is uplifting! I couldn't recommend this show more!

  5. Liz, the star of the show, is such an arresting performer and vulnerable, delicate presence. You can't take your eyes off her.
